The Amendments
1. We have the following things and no one can take them from us, being freedom of religion/ expressing it, freedom of speech or the press, the right to peacefully protest, and be able to complain/seek assistance of the government without getting punished.

4. Protects civilians from being searched in any sort of form (home, persons, vehicle, etc.) or having thins taken away without a good reason.
5. Protects you from being accused of a crime you did not commit unless obvious reasons say other wise.
6. The sixth amendment guarantees the following things, 1. A speedy trial, 2. A fair jury, 3. An attorney if the accused persons would like one, and 4. He/She can see who is making the accusations.
7. If the value being questioned is more tan 20$ you have the right to a trial by jury.
8. Punishments must be fair and can not be unusual or cruel, and bail or fine can not be outrageously high if the crime is not high. If the crime is more serious then bail can be higher.
9. Their may be other laws and amendments but there can not be any that violate or change any of the 27 original amendments.
10. Any power not given to the federal government is given to the states itself or the people.
11. States immune from certain lawsuits.
12. States that the election of the president and vice president are chosen by the electoral college, no one majority vote for one person. The house of representatives choses the president and the Senate choses the Vice President.
13. Abolishing slavery. (Being forced to work against your own free will, not being paid, normally being tortured as well.) If it is continued the persons using someone as as slave should be convicted.
14. If you are born in the United States you are a U.S. citizen, no states can can take away the rights and privileges of a U.S. citizen.
15. Grants U.S. citizens the right to vote regardless sex, race, etc.
16. Gives congress power to levy an income tax.
17. The senators are elected by the popular vote.

20. Sets the dates for when the federal government offices end
21. Repeal of the prohibition of alcohol
22. Limits the amount of terms a president can serve (2 terms of 4 years.)
23. District of Columbia is allowed to vote in the presidential elections.
24. Can't use tax payment as a voting qualification.
25. If something happens to the President the Vice President will take over.
